This week I made a fun piece to display a pretty bead that I found in my stash.
It was made with an Ocean Jasper bead, square sterling silver wire, a few sterling silver beads and took about 30mins to think about what to do, then make it.
Hey,. well just because I have no gas and no oxygen to feed to my torch,. doesn’t mean I can’t still make beads with my glass rods now does it? ;}Â
I’m hoping to get the the Sydney Gem Show this coming weekend and meet up with a heap of glass beadmakers,.. so I thought for a laugh,..it would be nice if I wore my latest glass bead *giggle*,. which represented my current status of my beadmaking adventure, lol. I have glass,.. I cannot make it molten though for possibly another 7 weeks now,. until my replacement Oxygen Concentrator comes from the US as the first one I got three weeks ago was damaged in transit :[ .Â
Made from three 25mm lengths of Moretti glass rods, 20ga SS, 24ga SS, a daisy spacer and a larger bali spacer at the top. Surprisingly it actually looks really cool on,. because as it turns, the three rods being able to be seen through each other, change the colour of the pendant,. also depending on the light source too.
