Here is my latest set. I was not quite sure what these beads reminded me of as I was making them and it was really annoying me,.. I was thinking maybe kind of tribal but that still wasn’t quite it either. As soon as a dear friend of mine saw them she said Batik!,..and yes that was exactly what they remind me of,…gorgeous patterned fabric, created using hot wax masking…. oh wow that brings back some scary,..yet fun memories of my teen years. I can almost smell the beeswax.

Remy it is so good to see some of your work again. I’ve really missed you on CWJ. Why are you not showing some of this georgious lampwork there?
The Gizby’s are deffinatly you and I can’t wiat to show my daughter. I really love your ocean beads. Just trying to figure out how to use them. I will keep in touch now that I have you bookmarked again. Question–Did you ever drill any of pearls? It was my first contact with you, remember? ………Eldon
Hi Eldon…wow it is great to see you again!! Dianne passed on the message that you had sent your regards and I thought wow… that it so bizarre because I was thinking about you a few times last week. Wondering how you were doing and whether you still got to CWJ. I am heading back to CWJ this weekend.. and hope to visit more regularly from now on,…now that I’m finally on my way to making some nice beads. I have been determined… to learn beadmaking and not be distracted by much of anything else and now that I got to that point where I am happy with… I can relax a bit and go play on the forum.
I haven’t shown any of my latest beads because I just haven’t had the chance yet,.. so busy making them, photographing them, listing on blog and ebay etc…
